New York Fashion Week Men's F/W2016: Concept Korea XIII

Concept Korea is a global project that publicizes Korea's fashion culture throughout the world and supports domestic designer brands and make inroads into overseas markets. This season, Korea Creative Content Agency KOCCA, and the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proudly presented two men's wear designers for their F/W2016 fashion show during Men's Fashion Week.

DBYD is a men's wear label of Korean designer Kang Dong Jun.
Kang's concept for this collection was from the film "Her" by Spike Jonze. The color story for the collection was derive from the emotional changes of the main character with the cinematography. Sand beige, melange grey, cool gray, burgundy, red black and white looked lush in wool, cotton, & denim. The collection was casual chic with an urban twist.

Ordinary People's designer Hyeong-cheol Jang drew inspiration from and brings the story of an hotel were people stay for a holiday. There is a lot of mixed looks in the collection, as well as patterns, and textures. Colors such as bottle green and yellow ochre add brightness to the collection. The coats were great, some oversize, looks comfortable and cozy especially with fur trim. Stand out was the patterned coat with roman numeral print.
