Anna Sui Spring 2019 Collection (Wanderlust)

Know for her signature mix of prints and vintage-inspired style; Anna Sui is an icon in the fashion industry. For more than a decade Anna Sui classic designs have stayed true to the brands aesthetic creating looks that are unmistakable. Entitled Wanderlust the collection is inspired by travel, exploration, adventure and discovery; an idyllic dream fantasy for the exotic. For her runway show, Sui and set designer Jerry Schwartz created a Grand Bazaar (market) were vendors exhibit and sell their goods down the catwalk. "Like a scene out of the 1955 American movie Kismet."

The collection is filled with sporty looks in metallic brocades, glittery printed party dresses, and key item pieces like jacquard fisherman vests, kaftans, Polynesian jumpsuits, cowboy shirts, embellished oversize jackets, metallic mesh scuba top, and pin-up girl bathing suits each meticulously detailed and trimmed. It's a travelers dream wardrobe that transcends time, not just places. The accessories paired with the collection are equally compelling. The fanny pack is featured along with jaunty bucket caps, floppy turbans, and across the body bags all in metallic jacquards. Shell necklaces, patterned sunglasses, sneakers appliqued with mermaids and sandals with 3D peacocks; worn with socks polish off the looks. The collection is fun, with easy to wear pieces that are light and airy in true Anna Sui fashion.
