Reem Acra F/W 2016 Collection - NYFW

Reem Acra's concept for fall 2016 evolved around the idea of femme fatale. The collection emits a strong appreciation for women, and femininity; that truly echoes throughout the collection. Reem's use of fabrics like silk chiffon, fringe, and charmeuse flowed so smoothly against the body which helps to show off the female form. Yet, despite the sex appeal, the garments shine a positive light on women as Reem kept it classy, yet seductive, and incorporated lot's of lace and embroidery to give her garments that extra va-va-voom. Her color scheme consisted of gunmetal, blush, nude, cream, metallic silver, steel blue, and black. The colors give a more serene tone which set the mood throughout the collection. Her garments make you feel empowered. Dressmaking craftsmanship at its finest. A captivating collection that showcases the inner as well as the outer beauty and power all women have. http://www.reemacra.com/

Concept Korea - YOHANIX by Tae-keun Kim Womenswear Collection F/W2016

Concept Korea a global project that publicizes Korea's fashion culture throughout the world and supports domestic designer brands and make inroads into overseas markets, showcased two designers for the women's F/W 2016 collection. YOHANI by designer Tae-keun Kim's theme for the fall 2016 season is labeled "Hamlet's Syndrome," which reflects on the heavy detail in the garments, intended for people who are smart but live a mediocre lifestyle and who are uncertain about decisions. Kim also bought a dark humorous, playful side to the collection. Kim use shades of black, midnight blue, khaki, and mud grey, and incorporates fabrics like cashmere wool, lamb skin, and such along these lines. His concept also insinuates sensuality and power. Kim's idea behind the looks define procrastination and indecisiveness. He has created outfits that we would not normally think to address when starring at our closets. Kim's design consist mainly of different jackets and coats with all unique outfit chooses underneath. Even though this collection's theme is meant to be uncoordinated, it is very stylish and totally works.

Concept Korea - JARRET by Ji-yeon Lee Womenswear Collection F/W 2016

Concept Korea a global project that publicizes Korea's fashion culture throughout the world and supports domestic designer brands and make inroads into overseas markets, showcased two designers for the women's F/W 2016 collection. JARRET by designer, Ji-yeon Lee's theme for the fall 2016 season is labeled "In Blood," which entails costume tailoring that combines both femininity and masculinity in the modern day era, with addicting dark tones of blood colors. She uses deep shades that represent different colors of the blood beneath our skin; she incorporated dark red, black, sapphire, cool blue, and a burnt henna. The wool, fur, abstract print, lace, and tulle fabrics she used compliment her theme quite well for it truly reflects the colors under our skin. She doesn't stick to just one type of dress or coat. Lee has a variety of outfits from ones that conform to the body with a large coat over the outfit, to a flowy long sleeve dress to a hoodie with suit pants and large fur coat, giving both the femininity and masculinity look combined.
